Biseri

The Biseri folklore group was founded in 2011. Biseri cherishes and promotes Bosnian cultural heritage through folk dances. The group performs at events organised by BKC and at multicultural events in the Turku region.

Over the years Biseri has taken part in many events, including the Book Fair, the Square of Opportunities (Mahdollisuuksien tori), the closing events of Turku's year as European Capital of Culture, and the city district weeks.

The number of members has ranged between 15 and 38. Many former members of the children's and youth group are adults today, and the tradition is gradually passed on to new generations.

The group is led by a leader and a choreographer, and rehearsals are held regularly once a week.
